Golden Triangle Music Awards Arts Academy

MISSION:

Serving at risk families by developing creativity and engagement through “THE ARTS”, to motivate personal growth and community well-being.

ABOUT US:

Founded by Freddie L. Poindexter, (under the umbrella of the Golden Triangle Music Awards) The Arts Academy is a program designed to serve at risk families (youth) by developing creativity and engagement through "THE ARTS" to include, music, dance, spoken word, public speaking and more. The program also focuses on instrument skills development, audio engineering, theatrical arts, as well as lighting, video walls and live show management. Full meals are provided to the youth we serve at the end of each day.

The Academy serves families in the State of Mississippi with a primary focus on the Golden Triangle Area.

The organization has partnered with area education professionals who volunteer their time to help teach our at risk youth about "THE ARTS".

Our focus is to teach and train youth to operate all of the above for 1 Year in preparation for the largest fundraiser of the organization which is The Golden Triangle Music Awards Ceremony. The youth will take what they have learned and apply these skills to operate the entire show with the assistance of our education professionals. Our at hand goal is to simply secure funds to purchase equipment that will be used within the academy. Without the equipment we will not be able to teach the youth hands on.
