Founded By: Freddie L. Poindexter, a member of the world's renowned Mississippi Mass Choir, hosted by The Dream Centre of America, and sponsored in part by local businesses throughout the Golden Triangle Area in MS. The Golden Triangle Music Awards (GTA Awards) is a tax exempt organization under Internal Revenue Code (IRC) Section 501 (c) (3).
The Music Awards is one of the largest fundraiser events that helps to provide funding for the Dream Centre of America. The GTA Awards MISSION is to serve at risk families (youth) by developing creativity and engagement through "THE ARTS" to include, music, dance, spoken word, public speaking and more. The program also focuses on instrument skills development, audio engineering, theatrical arts, as well as lighting, video walls and live show management. Full meals are provided to the youth we serve at the end of each day.
Celebrating the esteemed legacy
of renowned Gospel artists in the Golden Triangle and surrounding areas, the
12th Annual Gospel Awards Celebration held at The Pearl River Resort in
Philadelphia, MS, marked a momentous success with an impressive turnout of over
1200 attendees.
The Music Awards aims to provide well-deserved
recognition to outstanding individuals within the music industry. With a live
taped/stream broadcast to the public, attracting as many as 57.5K viewers, the
event highlights the presentation of awards and accolades. The ceremony
specifically honors Gospel artists, offers support to high school graduates
pursuing music degrees at colleges of their choice, and raises funds in support
of the dReam Centre of America's operations.
This initiative serves as a platform to shed light on talents that may often be overlooked. Through programs like the Golden Triangle Music Awards, acknowledgment and appreciation are extended to those who tirelessly serve, travel, and represent the Independent Gospel Industry.
